State of Oklahoma CARES Act Funding for OK Cities & Towns
Cities and towns in Oklahoma are able to apply for CARES Act Funding from the State of Oklahoma due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In order to be eligible for State Cares Act funding, it will be important to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to September 1, 2020.
Before you can apply for any grants you need to register with SAM (SAM.gov), which can take up to 10 days. Register prior to September 1, 2020 with SAM.gov (most cities are likely already registered): Register here: https://rb.gy/qustfe
To register with SAM, you must have:
- DUNS Number, Legal Business Name, and Physical Address from your Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) record. The DUNS Number is free and is typically assigned within 1 day. Request a DUNS Number here: https://fedgov.dnb.com/webform
-Your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Taxpayer Name associated with your TIN.
-Your bank’s routing number, your bank’s account number, and your bank type (checking, savings, etc) to set up Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
OMMS is working closely with Crawford and Associates to provide a detailed outline of the entire process, and hope to have that available next week.
We will also have OMMS staff support for cities and towns, if you have questions, need assistance with documentation or would like our staff to assist you in completing the process, please contact Brittany Long at blong@okmms.org or call (918) 743-8018.
Thanks to many partners, we have compiled several resources provided by cities and towns from around Oklahoma, as well as some sample working documents that you can customize for your city or town. Please feel free to read, use and borrow as needed. If you have a resource or information to add, please email info@cmao-ok.org. Thank you for your input!
